Jason Mitchell is a real estate powerhouse who founded Jason Mitchell Real Estate in 2006.  Since then, The Jason Mitchell Group has achieved over $1 Billion in sales and has been voted Arizona's #1 Real Estate Team. In 2017 and at the age of 36, Jason Mitchell’s personal production surpassed another milestone - $122 million for the year, an Arizona state record.

Accompanied with being awarded Arizona’s most influential millennial he also received the honor of being voted Arizona’s #1 Real Estate Agent in back to back years, Jason is the host of Money Radio’s “Millennial Money Club”, and has starred on HGTV’s “A Sale of Two Cities.”

He has also appeared nationally in GQ,  the Wall Street Journal and magazine and has been featured on ABC, NBC, BRAVO, CNBC and FOX.

In 2018 Jason released his first book entitled “Planting the Seed. Understanding the Psychology of Sales.” Jason also serves as a national real estate speaker throughout the US and a national real estate consultant for top corporations including Quicken Loans. America’s #1 online lender and JD power award winner 7 years in a row.

With his sales and real estate finance background, Jason opened his own real estate investment firm, Desert Bridge Capital LLC in 2010. Since 2010, Jason and his team of investors have successfully sold over $150 million in residential properties flip and new construction properties.

Jason is proud to be a Detroit native. In 2003 he earned his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University with a dual major in Marketing and Finance.

Courtney’s main focus is helping our team members achieve their personal and professional goals. She is very hands-on with our clients, and enjoys meeting new people and helping out with the process of buying and selling. Providing excellence in all areas of customer service is a passion of hers. On a daily basis, she assists with marketing and developing the best possible systems and processes to enable the team's effectiveness.


Vice President of Sales

As the Vice President of Sales for The Jason Mitchell Group, Leon Gavartin leads one of the Top 25 Real Estate Teams in the United States. During the past decade, he has been responsible for and involved with over $800 million in residential real estate sales amongst him and his team, earning him accolades including Top Producer and Salesperson of the Year for 2017.

Leon is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of real estate experience and 30 years experience in business operations, product and market development, marketing, management and sales. He is a graduate of Northwood University with a double major in Management and Marketing and has held various positions including CEO, President and COO for various companies domestically as well as internationally. 

Leon genuinely enjoys providing guidance and service to his clients as well as assisting his team of agents in progressing their careers. With his vast real estate and business knowledge as well as his ability to navigate challenging transactions, Leon is an invaluable asset to his entire team. 

In his personal time, he enjoys being with his two kids, Ben and Shayna, exercising, practicing yoga, traveling, as well as eating and having fun! Leon also serves on the Board of Trustees for Temple Solel, where he heads the Safety and Security Committee. Leon was born in Riga, Latvia and speaks Russian fluently.

An Iowa native and Scottsdale resident for over 28 years, Gregory Hidder attributes much of his success to the foundational values instilled in him while growing up in the Midwest. Those values, which continue to guide him today in every facet of his real estate career, include honesty, integrity, trustworthiness and a strong work ethic.

With over 20 years of real estate experience as a licensed agent and active investor, combined with 20+ years of entrepreneurial victories, business management and proven leadership, Gregory provides every one of his clients with a world-class real estate experience that far exceeds his client’s expectations. Marketing Director

Heather is an award-winning graphic designer and marketing ninja with over 20 years of experience in both digital and print media. Originally from Iowa, she moved to sunny Arizona in February 2016 to escape the winter weather and is enjoying every minute of it! 
Along with a Midwest work ethic, Heather brings a passion for design and promotion to JMG. When she's not obsessing about fonts and PMS colors, she enjoys playing pickleball (yeah, it's a sport!), painting and interior design.


Transaction Processing Manager

Cheryl has been working with The Jason Mitchell Group since 2014 and has an impressive 27 years of experience in the real estate industry. As the Transaction Processing Manager, she works diligently to keep files in order and ensure all broker files are complete, up-to-date and in compliance with Arizona state regulations.

Originally from Western Nebraska, Cheryl attended Chadron State College and spent many years in Southern California in an administrative role at a private elementary school. She moved to Arizona in 1991 where her career in real estate began.

As a parent to three children, she spent many years managing her daughter's soccer teams. Spending time with family and friends is a top priority for Cheryl. She is a die-hard Denver Broncos fan and in her spare time enjoys constructing puzzles and working in the yard.

Claire has been a licensed Realtor in the state of Arizona for over 12 years and an agent with the Jason Mitchell Group since 2013, earning the #1 Sales Agent and Top Producing Agent awards the last three years running. She is currently Team Captain of the Inside Sales team. Since 2014, Claire has closed over $50 million in real estate sales and 198 transactions.

With her years of experience, Claire has dedicated herself to her customers and their needs. From one end of real estate spectrum to the other; knowing the ins and outs of the residential real estate market place. She is a savvy real estate professional who utilizes traditional marketing with new and innovative methods to assist her customers as they buy or sell a home.

Communications Director

Tom Mitchell born and raised in Detroit, MI. His main focus is making sure our clients are having a great experience while in the process with our team. Working as a Team leader in communications since 2016 in the mortgage industry, he has now taken on the role of being our Communications Director, Providing our clients with a very efficient and stress-free home buying experience. Tom is really known for his drive and finding ways to make our clients experience the best it can be. When Tom does have free time, you can find him on the water, playing hockey, or traveling.

Will brings more than a decade of sales and marketing expertise to the team. He is a skilled communicator and negotiator, with a focus on addressing his customers' needs upfront so that their expectations are met throughout every step of the transaction. He has a true passion for helping people make wise and informed real estate decisions. Will is a Midwest transplant who loves the desert climate and scenery. He currently lives in the Biltmore area, and enjoys hiking the local mountain trails and biking along the canal. He and his wife Megan recently celebrated the birth of identical twin girls.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Aaron learned from very early on the values of treating people with respect and working hard. Since moving to the Valley in 2012, Aaron carved out a career as a loan officer in mortgage banking. He has honed his skills in sales with the best of the best including Quicken Loans and Loan Depot.

Aaron is a perfect fit for clients looking for someone who communicates effectively, works tirelessly to find solutions, and makes sure that his clients’ interests are at the forefront of his business. This, in addition to his affinity for teamwork makes him a seamless fit for The Jason Mitchell Group. When Aaron isn’t working with his clients, he can be found enjoying time with his wife, Nicole, and two beautiful children, Mac and Maya. Aaron is an avid sports fan who loves playing basketball and golf, but also can never get his hands on enough music and coffee.

Originally from Utah and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Matthew moved to the Valley in 2002. His passion for real estate and residential construction is a natural fit, having many family members involved in the industry and working alongside his father building houses when Matthew was growing up. After running a successful concrete company for 7 years as part of the family business, Matthew earned his real estate license in 2007 and started selling full-time in 2016.

Those who have an opportunity to work with Matthew quickly learn his motivation is driven by a genuine desire to ensure the absolute satisfaction of each client. Nothing is more fulfilling to him than a job well done. He takes great pride in performing his duties with a solid work ethic, integrity and professionalism.

In his free time, Matthew can be found hiking high in the mountain peaks, on the nearest lake or exploring the desert on his motorcycle.

Jessica was born and raised in Washington State and moved to Arizona in 2017. A love for warm weather and eternal sunshine made the move to Arizona a natural fit. The real estate world has been something she has been interested in since a little girl. She currently lives in Paradise Valley and in her personal time she loves traveling, fitness, fashion, and learning about nutrition.

Originally from Massachusetts, Thomas moved to Arizona in 2007 to attend Arizona State University where he majored in Business Communication with a minored in Marketing at the W. P. Carey School of Business. He graduated from ASU and found a position working with the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation. In January of 2015, he made the leap into a career in Real Estate. Thomas loves to help first time home buyers and finds great satisfaction when he is able to make his clients dream of owning real estate a reality. He is great at building relationships with his clients and is always looking out for their best interests by putting them first. He is very creative and often thinks outside the box when it comes to marketing or when his negotiation skills need to come into play. He lives in Tempe, but his central location allows him to work all across the Valley. He is a student of his profession and is always eager to learn more.

In his spare time, Thomas loves to follow Boston sports teams such as the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics. Along with his passion for sports he also enjoys art and woodworking and often time mixes the three together. He is very active, loves to hike and also travel when he can find the time. He also still volunteers his time to the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation when available and is very active within the CRC Foundation as well.

Justin Johnson was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and is a graduate of Fresno State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.

A member of Fresno State's basketball team, Justin brings the same work ethic that it took to play at a college level to his real estate arsenal when working with his clients. Having grown up in Paradise Valley and Scottsdale, Justin is extremely familiar with the area, therefore making him a valuable asset for new home buyers. In addition, he has an extensive background in sales, technology, marketing, finance and accounting.

As a third generation Arizona native, Jarrod has incredible knowledge of the Greater Phoenix Area and helps clients relocate to and from all corners of the Valley. As the JMG “West Side Specialist”, he is extremely well-versed in the Peoria, Glendale and Northwest Phoenix communities. His warm, personal approach and genuine care for his clients are his strengths.

Jarrod also has valuable insight as an experienced investor in the residential fix and flip market. His proven home staging, floor plan design and marketing know-how has resulted in over $12 million in sales since 2014.

He currently resides in Peoria with his wife and three kids. They enjoy family adventures and traveling together. Fun fact: Jarrod is a professional musician and singer, playing to crowds of thousands. You might even catch him doing a gig with his band at a local hot spot. Music, art and authenticity are a part of his DNA.

Jonathan was born and raised in northern New Jersey. He frequently visited Arizona to escape the cold, and eventually decided to make it his permanent home in 2000. He currently lives in south Scottsdale with his wife and daughter. When he isn't busy selling real estate, he enjoys looking at model homes with his family, biking, being outdoors, playing ice hockey and doing CrossFit.

Real estate has always been a passion of his, from growing up visiting model homes and open houses with his parents to buying his first investment home at the age of 20. He has several years of real estate sales experience, and is very honored to be a part of the Jason Mitchell Group.

He will use all avenues to properly market your property and get you top dollar. If you are buying, he will work hard to help find you the perfect fit and negotiate the best price. He is there to help you the entire way through the transaction.

After Edwin's first visit to the Valley in May 1988, he knew it was a place he wanted to call home. Just months later, he packed up and moved to Phoenix from Los Angeles. His passion for real estate started in 2005. With over $40 million in closed sales to date, Edwin has experience with all price ranges and types of transactions, including traditional sales, foreclosures and short sales.

He loves sharing his passion and expertise with his clients, whether they're buying or selling. He is also proficient in Spanish.

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Tina moved to Arizona in 2001 and spent 15 years in healthcare industry as a medical sonographer, specializing in maternal fetal medicine, before transitioning to her real estate career with The Jason Mitchell Group in 2016. She brings the same care and concern and relentless work ethic from her medical career to her clients in the buying and selling process of their home. Always going above and beyond, Tina enjoys educating and guiding first-time home buyers as well as providing seasoned buyers and investors with valuable real estate insight and to get the absolute best deals in the Valley. As a result, Tina has closed over $10 million in sales and 52 transactions since 2016. She finished 2017 as one of the team’s Top Producers. 
Tina currently lives in North Phoenix and is a mother of three. In her free time, she enjoys cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, trips to San Diego and being actively involved in and volunteering with her church.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Rick's previous career took him all over the country including upstate New York prior to arriving in the Phoenix area in 1996. With a background in food sales where he managed a $100 million annual sales team, the transition to real estate was a natural change in 2012. Relationship-building is the key to Rick's success as an agent, and his father was a broker who instilled exceptional work ethic within Rick at an early age.

Rick's hobbies include photography and video production, which he loves to do for small businesses he meets. A father of three grown sons, he's proud to have watched his children pursue careers in animation, music and video.

Rick is the sole Certified Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) for The Jason Mitchell Group team. He is an expert in helping mature clients buy, sell, relocate, or refinance properties.

Michelle Miranda is an Arizona native with a background in construction, sales, and development. She spent 12 years in Utah raising a family, but returned to the valley of the sun nearly 7 years ago, expanding the job of 'motherhood' back our into the construction and development workforce. Raising 3 children - one with special needs, Michelle is very familiar with stepping outside of her comfort zone to get the job done, and taking a real interest in her clients lives - their needs and goals. She loves her role of mother, but enjoys the thrill that comes with stepping beyond school lunches, chores and homework, to reinvent herself into the Arizona Real Estate market. Her construction knowledge brings real value to her clients - buyers and seller, that most other agents dont offer. She has a real genuine love for people, families and their story. Lainey is an Arizona native with a huge love for her home state and all of the unique real estate the valley of the sun has to offer.  Having grown up in the east valley and residing in downtown Scottsdale/Arcadia during her studies at Arizona State University, Lainey has developed a keen eye for high-end real estate.  While attending ASU, Lainey was fortunate enough to work under one of the Valley’s great architects, where she developed a passion for kitchen design and remodeling. This experience in architecture and remodeling lends greatly to her true passion of real estate.

Prior to entering residential real estate, Lainey honed her abilities to build trusting, personal relationships with her clients in outside sales. Additionally, she got her feet wet in real estate working for a boutique real estate consulting firm in North Scottsdale. After being exposed to the real estate market in the consulting field, she knew that this was the industry for her and wanted to help people buy and sell their homes while fully immersing herself in the residential sector. Her primary realty locales are Arcadia and Paradise Valley, but her passion for helping all of Arizona's buyers and sellers sends her throughout the valley's entirety. Lainey's key competencies lie in space planning and getting homes market-ready!

Kyle Perfette was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. Kyle brings a unique set of skills to the real estate industry, with a previous career as a firefighter for the city of Phoenix. Tony is an Arizona native and has been a licensed real estate agent for 21 years, beginning his career at CB Richard Ellis in 1996 where he eventually became senior managing partner of CBRE Site Acquisition Team representing the lease negotiations and project implementation division. In addition, Tony is NFSTI (National Foreclosure Sales and Training Institute) REO certified and has experience in negotiating commercial bank assets and non-performing notes. One of his strengths is his ability to recognize and capitalize on market trends. He also has extensive knowledge of marketing and sales disciplines encompassing strategic planning, pricing and market research.
